How is hydronic heating powered?
SNUG Hydronic Heating uses:
- Electric heat pumps,
- Gas boilers,
- Wood log fireplaces,
- We do not recommend using LPG as operating cost is too high.
We also design and build a mix - hybrid systems using above pointed fuel sources, that can support each other during heating season.
If you are choosing to have a hybrid heating system installed with a combination of different fuel boilers, e.g.:
- heat pump & gas,
- heat pump & wood log fire,
- gas & wood log fire, or
- above mentioned with domestic hot water service,
it is ultimate to choose experienced, one supply and install company.
All above mentioned systems are complex and getting the whole heating & cooling system to work in perfect harmony can be tricky.
Our systems can work with PV solar panels and battery storage. It does not matter where you live. We can keep you cosy!
What happens if you do not have a natural gas connected and do not want to burn wood?
- We recommend using our highly efficient electric air source (air-to-water) heat pump.
